Founded in October 2021 by Sham Ramnarain, a US Military veteran with a rich 18-year background in renewable energy, BlackTeal Energy (BTE) represents a beacon of innovation and diversity in the energy sector. As a veteran and minority-owned enterprise, BTE stands out for its unique perspective and expertise. The team, comprising industry veterans and professionals with over 80 years of combined experience, has achieved remarkable milestones, including managing more than 5GW of solar energy, commissioning 5GW of thermal power plants, and notably, commissioning over 2GWh of energy storage in 2023 alone.
Our Impact
BTE's rapid growth is a testament to its impactful vision. In less than a year, the team has expanded from seven executives to twenty full-time employees, securing significant partnerships with global leaders like RWE, Fluence, and CATL, and generating substantial revenue.
